This was a busy day for me--thank you to all my customers who trusted me with their machines! One presented me with an extremely challenging case of multiple viruses. Let me remind you all again to please, please, please, invest in an anti-virus program, turn it on, and keep it updated!!!!
If you wonder whether it is worth the annual cost, try the free AVG antivirus from www.grisoft.com and see how many potential virus problems you encounter in a month or two.
A good anti-virus program (Norton, PCCillin, for example) updates almost daily. The free AVG updates weekly or every ten days, so isn't quite as current, but does afford far better protection than no anti-virus at all.
You will be a believer after you see what even the free version catches.
You can go to http://housecall.antivirus.com/ for an online scan, but that doesn't protect you from getting the virus in the first place.
