from an internal private newsgroup (I had so much fun I just wanted to share):

J: What's a "leanto"? Is it a sort of roof coming off the house providing shelter under it?

PK: can be. Actually, it's a building with a roof that only slants one way (which is why they are sometimes "leaned up against" a house)AFAIK they are usually open like Jesus' stable. Ours is a standalone three-sided job for him to keep his tractor and boat and my lawnmower in.

J: Jesus has a tractor and boat? Sorry PK -- couldn't resist -- I know I'll go to Hell, straight to Hell
without passing Go either >;-)

PK: well duh. He is GOD'S son. If we mere mortals deprive ourselves to make our children happy, wouldn't God, who has (or can breathe into existence) everything, see to it that His Son would have anything and everything He wants?

When he was on earth he hung out with fishermen, right? and I remember him "harvesting" wheat on a Sunday (boy, THAT got him into trouble), so I'm sure he was glad when God invented motorboats and tractors. Heck, maybe he gave Him the idea.

You notice that lots of stuff wasn't even invented or discovered until after Jesus went back to Heaven. I think after living as a person in those times he decided there were lots of ways to make life easier, so He started putting these good ideas into men's (and women's) minds.
